WebGL demos you can play with right now

Hundreds of WebGL demos, each running live on its creator's own site: some of them vibe-coded with AI, all of them playable in your browser with nothing to install. Press a card to play one on its own page, or start the cruise to ride through them one after another.

WebGL lets a web page talk straight to your graphics card, which is how a browser tab pulls off real-time 3D, millions of particles or a full-screen shader. This stop is the GPU-powered end of the cruise: fast, shiny and occasionally loud on the laptop fan.

Questions about webgl

What is WebGL?

A browser API for hardware-accelerated graphics, based on OpenGL ES. Libraries like Three.js and p5.js's WEBGL mode are built on it, and some projects here use it directly. Projects tagged webgl2, its current version, are listed here too.

A WebGL project shows a blank screen. Why?

Usually the browser has WebGL turned off, the GPU is blocklisted, or the device ran out of graphics memory. Updating the browser or enabling hardware acceleration fixes most cases; otherwise press next and come back on another machine.

Is WebGL the same as WebGPU?

No. WebGPU is the newer graphics API with more modern features; WebGL is the one every browser has supported for years, which is why most projects still use it.
