Canvas demos you can play with right now

Hundreds of canvas demos, each running live on its creator's own site: some of them vibe-coded with AI, all of them playable in your browser with nothing to install. Press a card to play one on its own page, or start the cruise to ride through them one after another.

The HTML canvas is a blank rectangle of pixels a page can draw on directly, frame by frame. It is where browser games, particle toys and drawing experiments usually live, and everything on this stop paints its own picture from scratch.

Questions about canvas

What is HTML canvas?

A <canvas> element gives JavaScript a surface to draw shapes, images and pixels on. The 2D version is simple and fast; the same element also hosts WebGL for 3D. Projects tagged html5-canvas are listed here too.

Why do so many browser games use canvas?

It skips the page layout machinery entirely: you clear the screen, draw the next frame and repeat sixty times a second, which is exactly what a game loop wants.

Do these work without a mouse?

Some are keyboard-driven, some are touch-friendly and some are just to watch. If a project ignores your keys, click inside it first to give it focus.
