What is an audio visualizer?
A program that listens to sound and turns it into moving pictures. It splits the audio into loudness, beats and frequency bands every frame, then uses those numbers to drive colour, shape and motion.
Where does the sound come from?
It depends on the project. Some play their own music or synthesise it, some let you drop in an mp3, and some listen to your microphone, in which case the browser asks your permission first.
Why is nothing moving?
Browsers block audio until you interact with the page, so click or press a key inside the project first. If it wants the microphone, allow it, then play some music or make some noise near your computer.
