Eight humans wake up beside a river with a genome, a body that gets hungry, thirsty, cold and tired, and a 341-neuron spiking brain that grows new neurons as it lives. Nothing they do is written down: they forage, court, raise children, fell trees, build roundhouses, sow fields and dig canals because their neural activity produces motor commands — and those commands are the only thing the world reacts to. Open any of them and watch the spikes, the reward signal their brain learns from, and how far each synapse has moved since birth.
