From the README

A 1-bit cellular-automaton arcade game about rescuing Rare Friends from a decaying archive.

Built for the Rare Friends Vibeathon (20–30 September 2026). No FriendSDK and no wallet. Plain ES modules, a 1-bit software renderer, a Node server that replays every dive to verify it — and zero dependencies on either side.

Everything about the economy in this build is simulated. No wallet is connected, no chain is touched, no real $RAREFRIENDS is minted, spent or burned. The balances are real records in the game's own database — they are simply not tokens.

Rare Friends are stored on failing media.
