gesture music

A free computer vision demo — play it in your browser, no install. Play chords in the air — a webcam-controlled chord synth. MediaPipe tracks your hands, your left picks the chord, your right picks the sound and sets the volume. Runs entirely in the browser; no video leaves your device.

From the README

Play chords in the air. Your webcam is the instrument.

▶ Try it live — dj-hands.com

Whole songs can be saved by name and reopened later — an open song keeps every edit you make from then on, with nothing to press — and copied out as text to send to somebody else. See the user guide.

Open click Start camera & audio, and allow webcam access.

MediaPipe Tasks Vision does the tracking, Tone.js does the sound, and the render loop drives the synth imperatively so rendering never gates the audio. Details in architecture.
