From the README

Conway's Game of Life — an advanced cellular automaton simulator with a comprehensive pattern library. Watch complex behaviors emerge from simple rules.

And many more! Patterns are organized in a searchable sidebar library.

A population chart under the stats shows whether the universe is growing, stable or dying out.

The simulation runs on a chunked bitboard (js/bitboard.js) — 32×32 cells per Uint32Array(32) chunk, all eight neighbour planes summed bit-sliced, so a generation costs time proportional to the occupied area rather than to the population.
