From the README

The Yi Peng sky lantern drawn with the physics of hot air: why it rises, one flight from lighting to landing, where the wind brings forty lanterns down over Chiang Mai, and how many are up at once. English and Thai.

docs/lantern.js — the lantern: ideal-gas lift, fuel burn, heat in and out, drag, wind growing with height. docs/app.js — every drawing on the page. tools/copy_text.py — every word, both languages; tools/build.py writes the pages (--motdang for the motdang.net copy). tools/mapdata.py — cuts water and the runway out of Mot Dang's map (OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL).
