From the README

Microdle is a food microbiology word puzzle where players identify a hidden food microbe in eight guesses.

The game focuses on microbes relevant to food safety, food spoilage, and fermentation, including bacterial pathogens, spoilage organisms, yeasts, molds, viruses, and parasites. It is designed as a lightweight educational puzzle for food science students, microbiology learners, fermentation enthusiasts, and food safety professionals.

After the second guess, players can unlock up to four hints, one per guess: the microbe's class, where it is found, a clue, and its first letter.
